Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your name and phone number, as shared by WhatsApp when you message us, or when you give them in website chat.
• Your messages and requests: the parts you ask for and your car's make, model and year.
• Orders, service-fee payments (a payment reference, never your card or M-Pesa PIN) and any rating you leave.
• Basic website usage, such as pages visited and device type, through our analytics provider, to understand how the site is used and fix problems.
• For dealers: business name, location, contact numbers, stock and prices.

Why we use it

• To answer your requests, find dealers with your part, and complete your order.
• To send you updates about your request or order.
• To keep Rovya safe, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Who we share it with

• Dealers: when we ask dealers whether they have your part, we share the part and car details only. Your name and phone number go to a dealer only after you confirm a purchase with them.
• Service providers who run Rovya for us, under their own privacy and security commitments: WhatsApp (Meta) for messaging, Paystack for payments, and our hosting, database, automation and analytics providers.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

We don't sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your requests and orders while they're useful for serving you and for our records, and delete or anonymise them when they're no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
